The Blue Panchax originates from South East Asia.
How many can I keep?
What are the ideal water conditions?
Will adapt to a wide range of water parameters. Ideal water conditions are a temperature of 22-27°c, PH 6-7.5.
What do you feed them?
Feed a varied diet of live, dried, flake and frozen food such as brine shrimp.
How compatible is it with other fish?
Ideal for the community tank as long as kept with fish of an equal size of bigger. May nip at fish with long flowing fins.
How do you breed them?
The Blue Panchax are easy to breed. The males are more brightly coloured than the females. Put a pair into a tank with fine leaved plants or a spawning mop and they will lay eggs for what can be up to a few weeks. Place the eggs in a separate tank with the same parameters and the eggs will hatch after about 2 weeks. Feed the fry on infusoria and newly hatched brine shrimp.
