Males can reach 10cm, while the females are slightly smaller at 8cm.

The Boesmani Rainbow originates from Ajamaru Lakes Jaya.
How many can I keep?
Best kept in groups of 3 or more.
What are the ideal water conditions?
Ideal water conditions are slightly acidic, soft to slightly hard. All the fish available are farm bred.
What do you feed them?
They are omnivores and will eat a variety of foods. Feed a varied diet of frozen, freeze dried, and flake. A beautiful fish which needs to be fed well on live or frozen food to maintain it's colour and sheen
How compatible is it with other fish?
An ideal community fish for the larger more boisterious aquarium.
How do you breed them?
Adult males are more colourful and have a intense blue and yellow colouration. The fish will spawn over dense plants or spawning mops. Feed the fry on infusoria.
