What is the maximum size of the Clarke's Anemonefish?
Females are slightly larger and can reach 15cm while the males 10cm.

Where is its origin and where is it exported from?
The Clarke's Clownfish come from the Indo-Pacific and is exported from Sri Lanka.

Is it Reef Compatible?
Yes the Clarke's Clownfish should not harm invertebrates and is best kept with an anemone. This clownfish will occupy any of the hosting anemones.

What should I feed it?
This clownfish will eat a variety of foods, best to feed a varied diet of frozen foods, live food and aquarium flake.

How many can I keep?
This fish is best kept on its own or as a pair.

How compatible is it with other fish?
Although they can be vulnerable when small, this fish gets large and it can be aggressive if defending an anemone. House with other hardy robust fish.

Can it be bred in the aquarium?
Yes this fish can be captive bred. They can difficult to sex but if you have a pair the female should be larger than the male.

Clownfish are the most recognised and popular marine fish. On a trip to the Far East David was lucky enough to spend the day at a farm who specialise in breeding clownfish. During the visit the farmer was kind enough to go into detail on the best way to breed clownfish.
