What are the ideal water conditions?
This fish is farm bred and will adapt to a wide range of water parameters. Ideal water conditions are soft acidic water, temperature range 22-27c and a PH of 6-7.5.
 
What do you feed them?
They are omnivores and will eat a variety of foods. Feed a varied diet of frozen, freeze dried and flake foods.
 
How compatible is it with other fish?
A peaceful community fish. It is quite timid so don’t house with aggressive tankmates.
 
How do you breed them?
The male is more colourful with an orange body and blue stripes. As with other gourami, it is a bubble nest builder.
