Where does it come from?
The Longhorn Cowfish comes from the Indo Pacific.
Is it Reef Compatible?
No
What should I feed it?
Best to feed a varied diet of frozen foods, algae and live food.
How many can I keep?
This fish is best kept on its own. Juveniles can be kept in groups but adults will fight.
How compatible is it with other fish?
A generally peaceful fish. Do not keep with aggressive tank mates. If this fish gets stressed it can release a toxin into the water which can wipe out a tank. This is rare but if you see the cowfish being picked on or near death remove the fish or the cause of the aggression. If the toxin has been released then do water changes.
Can it be bred in the aquarium?
No.
