What is its maximum size?
They can reach 22cm.
Where is its origin and where is it exported from?
The Longnosed Butterfly is found in the Indo-Pacific including the Red Sea and the Hawaiian Islands.
Is it Reef Compatible?
Not ideal will nip at and eat some corals. If you do put it in with any corals then feed it regularly to minimise the damage.
What should I feed it?
Feed a varied diet of live food, frozen foods and algae. Feed several times a day. Can be fussy feeders so it is worth adding live food at first to get them feeding. Does best with live rock to graze on.
How many can I keep?
Best kept on its own. Or as a true pair.
How compatible is it with other fish?
A peaceful fish. Best to add before aggressive species so it is established and confident. Can it be bred in the aquarium?
