What is its maximum size?
Males have been known to reach 28cm, the females are smaller. Juveniles have different colouration to adults.
Where is its origin and where is it exported from?
The Majestic Angelfish is from Indonesia, Papua New Guinea, Philippines, Great Barrier Reef and Micronesia. We normally import from Indonesia.
Is it Reef Compatible?
Generally trustworthy with corals but may nip at some occasionally so add with caution. Tends to go for large polyped stony corals.
What should I feed it?
Feed a varied diet of live food, frozen foods and plenty of algae. Does best with live rock to graze on.
How many can I keep?
Best kept on its own.
How compatible is it with other fish?
House with other bold and robust tank mates. Tends to stay close to rockwork or in it until it is settled.
Can it be bred in the aquarium?
No.
