The Synodontis Notatus originates from the Zaire River.

How many can I keep?
Best kept as one to a tank as they will fight with their own kind.

What are the ideal water conditions?
Ideal water conditions are a temperature of 22-26°c, PH 6-7.5 .

What do you feed them?
Feed a variety of sinking pellets, live food and frozen foods such as bloodworms and shrimps.

How compatible is it with other fish?
Reasonably peaceful as juveniles but can be boisterous as adults. Best kept with larger boisterous species.

How do you breed them?
Males are slender and have longer pectoral spines. Aquarium breeding not known.
