Where are they from?
The Pearl Danio originates from Burma,Thailand,Malaysia and Sumatra.
How many can I keep?
These peaceful very active fish do well in a group of 4 or more.
What are the ideal water conditions?
Ideal conditions are slightly acidic to neutral, soft to slightly hard. All fish available are tank bred and will adapt to a large range of water parameters.
What do you feed them?
They are omnivores and will eat a variety of foods. Feed a varied diet of frozen, freeze dried and flake foods.
How compatible is it with other fish?
This peaceful fish is ideal for the community tank.
How do you breed them?
Females are deeper bodied than the males. Place 2 males and 1 female in a breeding tank with aprox 5" of water with fine leaved plants. Parents must be moved after spawning as they will eat the eggs. Fry hatch out after aprox 40 hours. Feed on infusoria.
