Where are they from?
The Pearl Gourami originates from Malaysia, Sumatra and Borneo. Other common names for the Pearl Gourami are Lace and Leeri Gourami. As with other gourami it can breath in air through it’s labyrinth organ.

What do you feed them?
They are omnivores and will eat a variety of foods. Feed a varied diet of frozen, freeze dried and flake foods.

The Pearl Gourami are a beautiful peaceful fish, hardy and long lived.
How do you breed them?
It is not easy to sex young fish but as they mature males develop a longer pointed dorsal fin whereas the females dorsal fin remains round. Gouramis build bubble nests at the surface incorporating any pieces of plant available. Blue, Opaline,Gold, Moonlight and Pearl Gouramis can produce as many as 2000 fry. Feed fry on infusoria.
