Where are they from?
The Dwarf Gourami originated from India. Many colour variations have been bred, the most popular being Neon Blue, Royal Red and Powder Blue. As with other Gourami they can breath oxygen from the air.
How many can I keep?
Singly, in pairs or groups of 1 male to 2 females.
What are the ideal water conditions?
Ideal conditions are slightly acidic to neutral, soft to slightly hard but will adapt to a large range of water parameters.
What do you feed them?
They are omnivores and will eat a variety of foods. Feed a varied diet of frozen, freeze dried and flake foods.
How compatible is it with other fish?
These small Gourami are ideal for the peaceful community tank.
How do you breed them?
Ideal conditions for breeding are neutral, soft to slightly hard. They will build a bubble nest, this is small often below floating leaves. Feed fry on infusoria as soon as they hatch.
