This species is often confused with the True Flying Fox but can be easily identified by the lack of barbels. Although much draber it is a more efficient grazer of algae, particularly thread algae.

The Siamese Flying Fox originates from South East Asia.
 What are the ideal water conditions?
Ideal water conditions are slightly acidic to neutral with a temperature of 24-28°c and a PH of 6.5-8.
What do you feed them?
They are omnivores and will eat a variety of foods. Feed a varied diet of frozen food, algae tablets and flake.
How compatible is it with other fish?
An ideal addition to a peaceful community aquarium, this peaceful species does not grow too large.
How do you breed them?

Not known to have spawned in home aquariums.
