How hard are they to keep?
We would class these at a moderate care level. These spectacular fish are very popular but can be difficult., they require a diet containing plenty of green food. It is better to wait until yout tank is mature before adding these fish

Where are they from?
The Molly originates from south eastern North Carolina to the Atlantic coast of Mexico.

How many can I keep?
Best kept in groups

What are the ideal water conditions?
Ideal conditions are neutral to hard. A temperature of 25-28°c and a PH of 7.2-8.

What do you feed them?
They are omnivores and will eat a variety of foods. Feed a varied diet of frozen, freeze dried and flake foods. Include plenty of algae.

How compatible is it with other fish?
A peaceful community fish. See tank mates.

How do you breed them?
Fish reach maturity in about 9 months. Females produce about 50-100 live young, the fry are large up to 7mm. Feed plenty of algae and live foods.
