The Turquoise Rainbow originated from Lake Kutuba New Guinea.

What are the ideal water conditions?
The ideal water conditions are slightly acidic to slightly alkaline and slightly hard. The fish available are farm bred and will adapt to most water parameters.
What do you feed them?
They are omnivores and will eat a variety of foods. Feed a varied diet of frozen, freeze dried, and flake.
How compatible is it with other fish?
A lively peaceful shoaling species, ideal for the community tank.
How do you breed them?
Place a group of conditioned adults in a breeding tank with a wool mop suspended at the top of the tank. After spawning separate the fish from the eggs. The fry will hatch in 5 to 15 days depending on temperature. Feed fry on newly hatched brineshrimp.
