Males can reach 38cm, females are a little smaller.Make sure you have a large tank and plenty of swimming room.
Where does it come from?
The Volitans Lionfish comes from the Indo-Pacific.
Is it Reef Compatible?
Would not harm corals but will eat shrimps and other crustaceans.
What should I feed it?
Best to feed a varied diet of frozen foods such as mysis shrimp, Krill, mussels and live food.
How many can I keep?
This fish can be kept on its own, in pairs or in groups in a large aquarium.
How compatible is it with other fish?
Will eat small fish so keep with fish of a similar size or larger. May be bullied by aggressive fish when small.

This fish could potentially be bred in the aquarium.
