Barbs

Medium sized barbs such as Tiger, Rosy, Ruby and Denison are a very active shoaling species. They are best kept in groups of 4 or more. Ideal for the more boisterous community tank of medium sized fish. If you keep only one barb in a tank it will probably harass other more peaceful tank mates. They are hardy, easy to keep and will except almost any food. If you have a tank of small peaceful fish then Cherry, Gold and Checker barbs are ideal tank mates again in groups of 4 or more.
