This small and attrctive snail is named after the horn like appendages that protrude from the shell. Be careful of the horns as they can prick you during handling.

We would class this as a easy care level.

How many can I keep?

Can be kept in groups if there is enough algae.

What do you feed them?

Although a small snail it has amazing algae eating abilities. It will not only keep the glass clean but due to its size is able to clean algae off leaves without falling off. If your tank is very clean we would recommend you supplement its diet with algae wafers.

How compatible is it with other fish?

A peaceful snail make sure you do not keep it with fish that will eat them.

How do you breed them?

As with other nerite snails it will require brackish water to breed.
