Harlequins originate from Malaysia and Northeast Sumatra.
How many can I keep?
A shoaling fish best kept in groups of 6 or more.
What are the ideal water conditions?
Ideal conditions are slightly acidic to neutral, soft to slightly hard.
What do you feed them?
They are omnivores and will eat a variety of foods. Feed a varied diet of frozen, freeze dried, and flake.
How compatible is it with other fish?
The Rasbora is a peaceful fish, an ideal community fish. Wait until your tank is mature before adding this fish.
How do you breed them?
The female is deeper bodied than the male. Place a well conditioned pair in a breeding tank in the evening. the pair will swim around together and then move underneatha suitable leaf. they will then turn upside down and deposit a few eggs, this continues until aprox 40 eggs are laid. The eggs hatch out in 24 hours. Feed fry on infusoria or liquid fry food for a week and then newly hatched brineshrimp.

    You can enter your required delivery day in the box provided at checkout so you can order in advance. Unfortunately, we cannot deliver livestock to Northern Ireland, or the Isle of Man.
    Please note we cannot deliver the day after a bank holiday..
    Our fish are placed in plastic bags with water and oxygen before being put in boxes. Tropical fish are then put in a suitable insulated box with a heat pack if necessary. This should ensure minimal heat fluctuations and keep the fish safe.

    Due to the packing costs involved, we have a minimum order of £35 on livestock orders (excluding delivery).

    They will then be shipped on our overnight service. You must be available to receive and sign for the fish to receive our arrive alive guarantees. Please then read our acclimatising guide on the best way to settle your new fish in. If there are any problems with your delivery please call us. There are sometimes delays out of our control due to weather, traffic and accidents, please call us if your delivery is late, we do still need you to be available for the delivery due to it being livestock. Remember to choose your fish carefully after reading our guides as we cannot take any returns on livestock.

    Dry Goods and Tropical Plants Orders

    There is no extra delivery charge for dry goods/pet products ordered with fish, you will only be charged the livestock delivery charge as above. For all dry good orders the charge is £3.99

    Pond Plants

    Our Pond Plants are sent directly from our Supplier so delivery is separate from fish deliveries and will occur a delivery charge separate from our usual delivery charges. Pond Plant orders must be placed separately from your fish order to avoid confusion on delivery times.     Special Orders Items

    Items are sent directly from the manufacturer on a standard courier service. Please select the next available day on our calendar system at checkout so we receive your order promptly. Orders will then be sent out with the couriers and with you in 3-5 working days. All items are insured with the courier. For any claims regarding damage these must be signed for as damaged.
