This truly beautiful fish does best when your tank has matured. Feed 3 or 4 times a day to get this fish in good condition and the colours will be really vivid.

Where are they from?
The Rummy Nose thrives in soft water and originates from Brazil and Colombia. Wild caught and tank bred available for this species.

They are best kept in a group of 3 or more.
What are the ideal water conditions?
Ideal water conditions are slightly acidic to neutral soft water. Temperature 22-27°c. PH 5.5 – 7
Take care over water quality, carry out regular water changes to avoid any build up of nitrates.
What do you feed them?
Rummy Nose Tetra are omnivores and will eat a variety of foods. Feed a varied diet of frozen, freeze dried and flake foods.
How compatible is it with other fish?
The Rummy nose is a peaceful community fish.
How do you breed them?
Females are more robust. Rummy Nose tetra are not easy to breed, they require soft acidic water and will scatter eggs over fine plants.
