Ctenopharyngodon Idella

A herbivorous freshwater fish from Eastern Asia. Introduced to the UK to control weeds in Garden Ponds. Grass Carp prefer to eat the softer weeds and will help control Blanket weed, Duck weed, Elodea and many other invasive plants. They will live happily along side other ornamental coldwater fish, making them ideal for natural weed control in ponds.
