ACCLIMATISATION GUIDE FOR PONDS
-
During the Summer months it is generally to warm and sunny to float the fish on the pond.
-
Floating bags of fish in the sunshine causes the air and water in the bag to overheat and the fish to run out of oxygen very quickly.
-
Once you remove the fish from the box and place in the pond, open the bag and add a small amount of water. After 3-5 minutes, release the fish into the pond. If it is sunny release immediately.
-
ONCE THE BAG IS OPEN THE FISH MUST BE RELEASED WITHIN 5 MINUTES! Failure to do this could result in the fish running short of oxygen.
-
If you have any questions regarding the feed required for the fish you have purchased please ask a member of staff.
-
Once you feel the fish have settled into your pond, you can try a small amount of food.
