About this fish
Centropyge bispinosa
What is its maximum size?
Up to approximately 10 cm in length.
Where is its origin and where is it exported from?
The Coral Beauty Angelfish originates from the Indo-Pacific, including areas around Indonesia, the Philippines, Fiji, the Great Barrier Reef and other Pacific islands. It is commonly exported for the aquarium trade from countries such as Indonesia and the Philippines.
Is it reef compatible?
With caution. It is generally safe with many corals, but it may nip at certain soft corals, LPS corals and clam mantles. Individual fish vary in behaviour, so it is not completely reef safe.
What should I feed it?
Feed a varied omnivorous diet consisting of marine algae, spirulina, seaweed, quality marine flakes and pellets, as well as frozen mysis shrimp and brine shrimp. Include algae-based foods regularly to support its health and natural grazing behaviour.
How many can I keep?
Best kept singly in most home aquariums. Multiple Coral Beauty Angelfish may fight over territory, particularly in smaller tanks. Keeping more than one is best attempted only in a very large aquarium with careful introduction.
How compatible is it with other fish?
Generally semi-aggressive but suitable for many established marine community aquariums. It can be territorial towards other dwarf angelfish, especially those of a similar shape or colour. It usually does well with compatible tangs, clownfish, gobies and other peaceful to moderately robust tankmates.

Photograph the bag unopened, send it to us within four hours of delivery, and we will put it right with a refund or a replacement.* The health guarantee then covers you for a further ten days once it is in your tank.
*Whether we refund or replace is our decision and depends on the fish and its cost. A replacement may travel with a future order rather than straight away.
