About this fish
Betta Splendens How hard are they to keep? We would class this fish as an easy care level.
What is its maximum size? 6-7cm
Where are they from? The Siamese Fighting Fish originated from Thailand and Cambodia. The highly coloured fish available today have been bred for years to produce the flamboyant long fins and deep blues and reds. The males have the long fins while the females have short fins and are less colourful
How many can I keep? You can only keep one male to a tank as they will fight to the death. In a small aquarium occasionally Fighters will nip the tails of fish with flowing tails such as Guppies.
What are the ideal water conditions? A PH of between 6-8 and temperature of 24-30
If it does not arrive alive, you do not pay for it.
Photograph the bag unopened, send it to us within four hours of delivery, and we will put it right with a refund or a replacement.* The health guarantee then covers you for a further ten days once it is in your tank.
*Whether we refund or replace is our decision and depends on the fish and its cost. A replacement may travel with a future order rather than straight away.
